Tourists moan trip to Britain's tallest building The Shard ruined because it's 'too high'

It's the tallest building in the UK, but apparently some people didn't get the memo.

We're talking of course, about The Shard which is a whopping 309.6m tall.

It boasts some of the most spectacular views over London, thanks to it's incredible height, however some people think it's a little bit too tall.

Yes, tourists on TripAdvisor have been complaining that The Shard is just "too high" after going up 800ft above the city to take in the 360 degree panoramic views as part of The View from the Shard experience.

Standard tickets for this will set you back roughly £25 but some don't seem to think it's worth the money.

One person gave it a four star review on the site, writing: "Good views but maybe too high for good pictures."

Another user said: "I didn't look at the view - too high."

A third said they were "underwhelmed" by the whole experience, with the viewing gallery being "very dull and lacking somewhat".

Someone else added: "Lousy experience - don't go here.

"Poor experience, long waits to the elevators and the resulting marginal view from the viewing area of this supposedly tall building."

A different user suggested skipping the viewing area and instead going to have food or drink at Aqua Shard or Hutong, as they are "20 floors lower and thus you can still recognise what's actually going on on the ground."

However not everyone was in agreement with these negative comments, with the majority of posts on TripAdvisor giving it four or five stars.

Overall it has a 4.5 star rating, with 60 percent of people ho visited saying it was "excellent".

TripAdvisor has also awarded the building a 'certificate of excellence' something which is typically given to attractions that repeatedly get glowing reviews and feedback from visitors.

Other users on the site described it as "unbeatable" for views of London, "top class" and an "out of this world experience".
