Tourist ruins stranger's proposal - but people claim they 'did it on purpose'

Couples will often walk away from their proposals with heartfelt memories for life. However, Jordan Elizabeth and her partner have taken memorable engagements to a new extreme after their celebratory occasion was ruined by a complete stranger.

The couple's picturesque moment in front of Gullfoss Falls, Iceland - otherwise known as the Gold Waterfall - quickly turned sour when a shutterbug was keen to photograph the scenery. Sharing a clip to popular video-streaming service TikTok, Jordan - who posts under @jordanemcgowan - shared footage of the jaw-dropping moment, which has surpassed 540,000 views since posting.

Thankfully, the couple weren't willing to let the moment dampen their wholesome occasion.

Alongside her video, the TikToker wrote: "Watch this woman ruin my proposal video."

The footage shows Jordan and her boyfriend posing for photographs in front of a beautiful backdrop, which was secretly being recorded.

As her partner got down on one knee, Jordan turned away in shock - gobsmacked as she placed her palm over her mouth.

While Jordan's boyfriend eagerly waited for his girlfriend to say yes, a stranger approached the couple from behind and even 'stepped over' the his foot to get a good snapshot.

After saying 'I do', Jordan and her partner embraced for the celebratory occasion.

The sweet moment was captured in a series of photographs where the stranger was clearly seen behind them documenting her surroundings.

Thankfully though, Jordan and her husband-to-be were keen to laugh off the ordeal.

Captioning the post, she wrote: "Honestly, I find it funny - no harm done its a laugh to watch."

Flocking to the comment section of the viral clip, TikTok users were keen to share their thoughts - where several people admitted that they were convinced the stranger ruined the moment 'on purpose'.

One person wrote: "You can't convince me she didn't do that on purpose."

"She knew exactly what was happening and she did it on purpose," another added.

A third agreed: "Did it on purpose 100%."

A fourth commented: "That was absolutely on purpose, I'd have words."

Meanwhile, a fifth person said: "She literally did that on purpose… I'm fuming."
