An American tourist in Dublin has sent a warning to fellow travellers after getting a nasty injury after tripping on cobblestones.
Irish people will have grown up used to it - but it appears the uneven surface can be tricky to navigate and those not familiar as others have told of similar things happening to them.
The tourist sent out a warning to fellow travellers saying be careful - and posted a pic of an X-ray of her fractured shoulder and her heavily bruised elbow.
Others told similar stories.
One said: "I was in agony while there - I already can’t walk on flat surface so this was gonna be tricky for me."
Another said: "I just fell yesterday walking. Fortunately no broken bones but some good scrapes. I am looking more carefully today. Hope you recover quickly."

Another woman told of how her aunt tripped near the Jameson brewery and needed 14 stitches.
She said: "My aunt tripped leaving the Jameson brewery and fell. She split her knee open and had to get 14 stitches the day before our 6 day tour. She was a trooper tho!"

Despite this - the majority of those who commented said they love the sight of the cobbles.
