A Dumbarton woman is desperately trying to track down a man called Jose she believes lives in Edinburgh.
39-year-old Dorota told how she went on a climbing holiday to Benny Beg, near Crieff where she met the man who gave her the 'best day ever.'
Dorota, who describes herself as a beginner climber, was looking forward to enjoying the holiday with a group of friends, but when they all pulled out she was left facing a day of climbing alone.
Instead the Dumbarton local met Jose, who she said was 'very kind and patient' and took time out of climbing himself to focus on 'showing her the ropes.'
Dorota told Edinburgh Live she ended up having the 'best day ever' and would have loved to 'treat' the man she met, but because she was so overwhelmed by the 'endorphins' she felt she was never able to properly say goodbye.
Dorota explained: "I went on holiday about a month and a half ago, where I was meant to meet some friends who couldn't make it and instead I met Jose.
"It was Thursday and very hot and sunny and Jose was very kind and patient while he 'showed me the ropes.'
"He didn't even worry about doing any climbing himself and instead he spent the whole day teaching me with so much care and attention.
"I would love to say thank you properly, he deserves it!
"So much has gone by and I ended up having surgery in between the holiday and now, hence why I've not had a chance to think about it much.
She added: "It would be lovely to say thanks with a treat or to return a favour in some way if he wanted me to.
"I have this picture of him and I know he lives in Edinburgh and works for Siemens, but that is all I know.
"I live in Dumbarton and perhaps I will be able to reach out to him and say thank you - I had the best day ever and was so high on endorphins I don't think I even said bye properly."
