Ever wanted to know what happens in a band’s tour bus? We’re joining the Klaxons as they drive to nine venues across the UK – in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Brighton and London – and asking them your questions as part of our new series Tour Bus Confidential.
It’s been almost a decade since Jamie Reynolds, James Righton and Simon Taylor-Davis formed Klaxons, releasing their first album Myths of the Near Future in 2007.
Their third album released this year – which Jamie Reynolds describes as “more openly emotionally and personal” – came four years after Surfing the Void, which was reportedly inspired by biblical visions experienced after consuming the Peruvian hallucinogen ayahuasca.
The trio have since “moved on” from Shamanic journeys and wild hedonism, Reynolds told the Guardian, instead putting their energies into marathons and testing their tunes on Keira Knightley. Oh, and this year they made their instruments using a 3D printer.
