'Tough 4 days...': Yashasvi Jaiswal's message after India's series-clinching win

NEW DELHI: Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel helped India seal a series-clinching five-wicket win over England on day four of the fourth Test on Monday. The win gave India an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series after they lost the first Test.

Chasing 192 for victory, India slipped to 120-5 but Gill (52) and Jurel (39) put on an unbeaten stand of 72 to achieve the target during the second session in Ranchi.

Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 73 and 37 in the Test match, lauded Team India's series win. The 22-year-old took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: "Tough 4 days of cricket but we are 3-1".

The left-handed batsman Yashasvi is the top run getter in the Test series so far. He has 655 runs in 4 matches at an average of 93.57, highest in the series.

Yashasvi also scored two double centuries in the series.
