Tributes have been paid to a man who died after being found severely injured in a city street.
Many of the meotional messages of love and support at the site in Norris Green, include the words "RIP Barry", as well as the thoughts "gone too soon" and "you're in peace in a better place now".
The tributes have been laid on Marcham Way, where emergency services were called on Thursday evening after a man in his 40s was found with serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Police are still trying to confirm how he came to be injured injuries, though on Friday a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Appealing for information on Friday, Detective Inspector Ben Dyer said: “Our initial enquiries suggest the man may have been involved in a collision, however we are working to establish exactly what happened and would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please get in touch.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone in Marcham Way and the surrounding area with CCTV or dashcam footage to please review it and contact us, as any information could prove vital to our enquiries.”
