Touching images show Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's son looking at his late father's empty seat at Leicester stadium

Touching images show the son of the Leicester City chairman looking at his father's empty seat at the club’s first home game since his death in a helicopter crash.

Photos from the match show Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s seat left empty as his emotional son Aiyawatt sits beside it.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was killed along with four other people after the helicopter they were travelling in crashed on October 27, just outside the King Power Stadium.

Before the club’s match against Burnley on Saturday, thousands of people marched from Jubilee Square to the King Power Stadium.

His son was seen greeting fans and paying his respects to his late father at a shrine set up at the club.

He then attended the match, placing a wreath in the centre of the pitch as 32,000 people joined in a two minute silence.

Fans were given scarves in memory of the chairman that they then help up high during the silence, creating a sea of white.

Aiyawatt was seen wiping tears from his eyes in a series of emotional moments during the match.

During the match, Leicester City players wore different shirts in each half of the game.

Mr Srivaddhanaprabha's name was embroidered on the players' match shirts during the first half, while their second-half shirts will bore the embroidered poppy symbol, the club said.

Mr Srivaddhanaprabha was among five people who died in the helicopter crash.

Nursara Suknamai, Kaveporn Punpare, Eric Swaffer and Izabela Roza Lechowicz were also on board.

Members of Leicester City attended the former chairman's funeral in Thailand last week.
