Touching a great king

Students from the Bangkok School for the Blind enjoyed an exhibition of art for the blind.

The exhibition, titled "Tourism under Advice of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej", was jointly held by the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Silpakorn University and Chulalongkorn University's faculty of engineering.

The exhibition featured King Bhumibol's royally initiated projects across the country. They include the Pasak Jolasid Dam project, which provides water to plantations in the Pasak River and lower Chao Phraya River basins in Lop Buri province, and the Chang Hua Man royal project in Phetchaburi province that aims to educate local farmers about dairy farming, harnessing wind energy and growing crops without chemical fertilisers.

Artworks featuring light and sound displays at the exhibition included paintings, sketches, sculpture images, carvings and castings of the late king's royally initiated projects.

The exhibition was held in remembrance of King Bhumibol at Lifestyle Hall of Siam Paragon shopping centre in Bangkok. It ended on Tuesday.
