Touchdown Wire ranks NFC West best division after 1st wave of free agency

The first wave of NFL free agency is in the books and it’s time to see how the divisions around the league now stack up. Granted, the coronavirus outbreak has impacted signings this season, which could swiftly decrease now that the NFL has suspended all player physicals indefinitely.

That being said, some moves have been made, and USA TODAY’s Touchdown Wire has put together its divisional rankings after the first week of free agency.

The NFC West is the clear-cut winner with TD Wire’s Michael Colangelo calling the division “stacked.” Here’s what he had to say about Seattle in particular.

“The Seahawks always figure out a way to remain competitive and will do so as long as Russell Wilson is at the helm of the offense,” he writes. “Seattle made it to the NFC divisional round in a year where a lot of people thought they would be rebuilding.”

Seattle’s biggest day of free agency came on Monday when the Seahawks announced the signing of two offensive linemen and the trade for former Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar.
