Tottenham are yet to hold any formal talks over a move for Christian Eriksen as the midfielder weighs up his next move.

Antonio Conte hinted last season that Spurs may try to re-sign Eriksen as a free agent this summer and the Denmark international has been strongly linked with a return to the club.

But Tottenham are yet to hold any discussions over Eriksen as they continue their summer recruitment drive.

Spurs completed the signing of Yves Bissouma from Brighton on Friday for an initial fee of around £25million.

Conte is targeting more signings and has prioritised a centre-back, a forward and a right wing-back.

Spurs want Djed Spence and Alessandro Bastoni, and have been linked with Raphinha and Arsenal target Gabriel Jesus.

Brentford still hope to keep Eriksen next season and have offered him a new contract to stay in west London.

Manchester United are interested in the 30-year-old as new manager Erik ten Hag plots a summer overhaul of the squad at Old Trafford.

Eriksen spent six-and-a-half years at Spurs before leaving for Conte’s Inter Milan in January 2020.

He returned to the Premier League on a six-month deal in January after being released by the Italian club following his cardiac arrest at last summer’s Euro 2020.
