Injuries are likely to continue to restrict Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho’s options for the visit to Wolves this afternoon, but Serge Aurier, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane are all expected to return to the side after being rested for the 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.
None of Spurs’ squad players did enough at the Allianz Arena to suggest they will force their way into the Portuguese’s preferred XI on Sunday, so it is actually hard to think of a difficult decision he has to make — especially after the manager issued Ryan Sessegnon with some tough love following his fine goal in Munich.
The 19-year-old can expect to be back on the bench along with Christian Eriksen, Giovani Lo Celso and Juan Foyth.
Mourinho would probably consider changes to his midfield if either Harry Winks or Tanguy Ndombele are fit.
The pair missed Bayern through injury, along with Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Ben Davies and Erik Lamela.
