Tottenham XI vs West Ham: Confirmed lineup, team news and injury latest for Carabao Cup clash today

Antonio Conte has no players unavailable through Covid for West Ham’s visit, with his entire first-team squad returning negative tests ahead of tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final.

But the Tottenham head coach has said he cannot play the same team or formation which so impressed against Liverpool in every match over the hectic festive schedule, with the nine first-team players who went down with Covid needing to be managed especially carefully.

“I have to find the right solution to be competitive for every game and manage the Covid situation in the right way and give the possibility to rest, especially the players who had Covid and played the last game,” Conte said on Tuesday.

Harry Winks and Dele Alli have not kept their places in midfield despite impressing against Liverpool, but Oliver Skipp does return to make up the centre of the park in place of Tanguy Ndombele.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is back in the squad, having missed Sunday’s game.

Ryan Sessegnon picked up a muscle injury against Liverpool which is expected to rule him out for up to two weeks, so Sergio Reguilon starts at left wing-back and Matt Doherty replaces Emerson Royal on the opposite flank.

Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn come into the attack, giving Heung-min Son a rest.

Tottenham XI: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Bergwijn, Lucas, Kane.

Subs: Gollini, Royal, Rodon, Tanganga, Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Dele, Son.

When: Wednesday December 22, 7:45pm GMT
