Tottenham XI vs PSG: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Champions League clash

Response needed: Cristian Romero - (London Standard)

Thomas Frank must decide whether to stick with a back five against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The Tottenham boss has used the system only twice this season. The first worked well, against PSG in the UEFA Super Cup in August, but a return to the extra defender on Sunday against Arsenal brought a 4-1 defeat.

Frank faced criticism for a particularly negative set-up but he insisted the problem was his side's inability to compete in duels rather than the system.

However, another turgid performance with a back five would pile the pressure on Frank and he could revert to his preferred 4-2-3-1 shape here in an attempt to spark the attack into life.

Pedro Porro is likely to come into the side after starting on the bench against Arsenal, while Pape Matar Sarr could also bring some fresh legs to the midfield.

Randal Kolo Muani is eligible to face his parent club and the Frenchman will hope to lead the line, despite Richarlison's wonder goal in the north London derby.

Frank has named Simons on the bench for both of Spurs' Champions League matches away from home so far, but he could potentially start on the left here with Sarr providing an extra body in midfield.

Spurs will be without Brennan Johnson after his red card against Copenhagen, while Mathys Tel, Radu Dragusin, Ben Davies and Kota Takai are all unavailable after being left out of the Champions League squad for the league phase.

Predicted Tottenham XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Bentancur; Kudus, Sarr, Simons; Kolo Muani

Injured: Bissouma, Maddison, Kulusevski, Solanke

Suspended: Johnson

Ineligible: Dragusin, Takai, Davies, Tel

Time and date: 8pm GMT on Wednesday November 26, 2025

Venue: Parc des Princes, Paris
