Tottenham XI vs Newcastle: Confirmed team news, starting lineup, latest injuries for Premier League

Sergio Reguilon is on the Tottenham bench against Newcastle this afternoon after training with the team for the first time on Friday.

Jose Mourinho refused to be drawn on whether the Spain left-back would start following Thursday's Europa League win over Shkendija.

Mourinho recalls Matt Doherty, Eric Dier, Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane after resting them for the win in North Macedonia, but Dele Alli could drops out of the squad altogether after being hooked in the second-half in Skopje.

Mourinho has decided against handing Tanguy Ndombele a third consecutive start after the Frenchman impressed – and earned praise from his manager – on his first 90-minute outing this year.

With Chelsea to come in the Carabao Cup just 48 hours later, Ndombele is on the bench as Harry Winks starts.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was a doubt with an ankle injury that kept him out of Thursday's game, but is in the starting XI here.

Moussa Sissoko had initially been among the substitutes, but illness means Gedson is now a late addition to the bench.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Doherty, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Hojbjerg, Winks, Lo Celso, Lucas Moura, Kane, Son

Subs: Reguilon, Alderweireld, Lamela, Hart, Gedson, Bergwijn, Ndombele

Newcastle XI: Darlow, Manquillo, Lascelles, Fernandez, Ritchie, Hendrick, Shelvey, Hayden, Almiron, Joelinton, Wilson

Subs: Carroll, Lewis, Krafth, Yedlin, Murphy, Gillespie, Sean Longstaff

Referee: Peter Bankes
