Tottenham XI vs Man Utd: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and latest injuries for Premier League clash

For the time being, Jose Mourinho's back five looks relatively set, even if Tottenham's defending remains the biggest problem area for the Portuguese ahead of his return to Old Trafford.

For all Tanguy Ndombele's obvious quality, Mourinho may feel that recalling Harry Winks alongside Eric Dier in midfield pivot is a safer option than continuing with the record-signing, who has struggled for consistency and fitness since arriving from Lyon.

The manager's other big decision is whether to stick with Moussa Sissoko, the unlikely scorer of Spurs' third goal against Bournemouth on Saturday, or recall Lucas Moura to the attacking three behind Harry Kane. Moura has form at Old Trafford, scoring twice in a 3-0 win last season which led to Mourinho's infamous "respect" rant post-match.

But Sissoko will provide more effective cover for right-back Serge Aurier against the threat of United front three - Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Daniel James - and was impressive against Bournemouth.

Goalkeepers Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm are among the injured players, along with Ben Davies and Erik Lamela.

Predicted Tottenham XI (4-2-3-1): Gazzaniga; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Dier, Ndombele; Lucas, Alli, Son; Kane.
