Tottenham XI vs Man City: No Harry Kane - starting lineup and team news for Premier League today

Tottenham are without Harry Kane against Manchester City today, though new signings Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil and Pierluigi Gollini are all on the bench for Spurs.

Kane finally joined group training on Friday morning after being forced into quarantine following his belated return from holiday, while Romero joined Spurs last week with a minor knee injury and Gil only linked up with the squad on Wednesday afternoon.

However, Kane has been deemed not fit to be involved against the club he is trying to join, so Heung-min Son leads the line with Steven Bergwijn, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura in support.

There is also no Tanguy Ndombele after Nuno refused to be drawn on the reasons for omitting the club record signing from pre-season fixtures.

Ndombele was not included in the squad for any of Spurs' five friendlies, with Nuno saying the time was not right to involve the maverick Frenchman.

Japhet Tanganga is fit and starts at right-back despite being forced off in last Sunday's friendly against Arsenal.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Bergwijn, Dele, Lucas Moura, Son

Subs: Doherty, Romero, Winks, Gil, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Gollini, Davies, Scarlett

Sunday 4:30pm BST, Sky Sports

Spurs squad from: Lloris, Gollini, Tanganga, Doherty, Aurier, Romero, Sanchez, Dier, Rodon, Davies, Reguilon, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Alli, Moura, Bergwijn, Gil, Son, Kane.
