Tottenham XI vs Dinamo Zagreb: Starting lineup, confirmed team news as Harry Kane and Heung-min Son start

Harry Kane and Heung-min Son both start for Tottenham in tonight’s Europa League clash against Dinamo Zagreb.

Dele Alli also starts the first leg of the round-of-16 tie but Gareth Bale drops to the bench after starting all three Premier League matches last week, with Jose Mourinho saying he needed to keep managing the Welshman’s minutes.

Mourinho makes seven changes from the side that beat Crystal Palace but has still named a strong team. Serge Aurier returns to the side and right-back and Eric Dier partners Davinson Sanchez at centre-back.

Bale may be restedPA

Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko start in midfield with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg rested.

The big question for Jose Mourinho was whether to start with Kane and Heung-min Son in the midst of a gruelling month and ahead of Sunday’s crucial north London derby at Arsenal.

But with Carlos Vinicius and Steven Bergwijn among the subs, Mourinho can afford to give the pair an hour or so from the off, and still save their legs for Arsenal.

Tottenham line-up: Lloris, Aurier, Sánchez, Dier, Davies, Sissoko, Ndombèlé, Lamela, Alli, Son, Kane.

Subs: Hart, Whiteman, Doherty, Reguilon, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Hojbjerg, Winks, Bale, Bergwijn, Moura, Vinicius.

Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Thursday 11 March, 20.000

TV: BT Sport
