Tottenham working on Ryan Sessegnon deal with Danny Rose's future uncertain

Tottenham continue to work on a deal to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.

Progress has been made on securing the signing of one of Spurs' longer-term targets, having started tracking the youngster as a 16-year-old in 2016, along with Arsenal and Liverpool.

Tottenham want to sign Sessegnon with Danny Rose's future at the club uncertain.

Rose was allowed to stay in England to pursue potential interest from other clubs as the first-team squad, and a selection of youth prospects, flew to Asia for a pre-season tour.

Sessegnon, who is currently receiving treatment on a hamstring injury sustained while with England Under-21s, had a £40m price tag put on his head at the start of the summer.

But Spurs are confident of agreeing a deal worth closer to £25m for a player with just one year left on his contract at Craven Cottage.

Sessegnon is also keen to remain in London, though the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund have all monitoring the situation in recent months with the play available for as little as £500,000 next summer should he stay.

The 19-year-old struggled at Fulham last season, being played across a number of positions under three managers, but is still considered one of the country's brightest prospects.
