Tottenham wonderkid posts brilliant video of training to excite Spurs fans

Yago Santiago may not be a name that familiar with Tottenham fans right now.

But the youngster will be hoping to make a name for himself in north London in the coming years.

And he has already given the Spurs supporters a glimpse of what he is capable of with a social media video to delight the watching fanbase.

The midfielder turned 17 last month and is coming up to his one-year anniversary of his time in England with Spurs.

Santiago joined the north Londoners from Celta Vigo last summer after netting 15 goals for the Spanish side's U16 side in the 2018/19 campaign.

According to Transfermarkt.com, the teenager played 10 times for Spurs' U18s prior to the cancellation of all football due to the coronavirus, scoring once, in his most recent match against Southampton on February 29.

But if the video he posted on his Twitter page is anything to go by, more goals will surely follow when football does return.

Photos and videos of training have been few and far between given the lockdown procedures that are in place and it is not known when the video he posted is from exactly.

But it shows the teenager on the training ground, taking a pass from out wide, before sidestepping a sliding challenge of a defender and then feigning to shoot before rounding the goalkeeper and tapping into an empty net.

Santiago posted the video on Sunday afternoon with the caption: "Patience."
