Tottenham won't let record signing Tanguy Ndombele leave in summer transfer window

Tottenham will not allow record signing Tanguy Ndombele to leave this summer.

France midfielder Ndombele has endured a difficult first season at White Hart Lane after his £55m move from Lyon last summer.

But Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is determined to work with him and help him adapt to English football while the club are also adamant they will resist any offers for a permanent transfer or loan deal.

Tottenham are certain to face a difficult transfer window with very limited funds to spend which may mean they have to sell before they can buy.

But Ndombele will definitely not be part of that process despite speculation back in France that he could be on his way out.

Ndombele has been linked with a move to Barcelona, while Liverpool are also reported to be interested in the 23-year-old.

But Mourinho is committed to working with Ndombele to such an extent that he held an impromptu training session with him in a park during lockdown.

The session drew much criticism, but it did show how much the Spurs boss wants to make their relationship succeed.

Ryan Sessegnon and Davinson Sanchez also took part in the public training session on Hadley Common in Barnet.
