Tottenham vs Watford odds: Dele Alli tipped to score first as Spurs seek win

Right, international break is done and dusted with the hope that what on earth happened before then is brushed under the carpet and never repeated.

But it's football - so of course the opposite of everything you hope for will happen.

Oh and to make matters worse and add salt to the wound, they've only gone and announced they are doing an Amazon docuseries on this season.

Let's just hope things turn around for the better - purely because I like Tottenham. Nice ground.

Mind you a welcome to struggling Watford will be the perfect start on paper for Pochettino's side.

So The Pools caught up with Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold:

Recommended bets:

Spurs to win 2-1 - 15/2

Dele Alli to score first - 15/2

Win, lose or draw?

If Spurs could have picked anyone to play after a tough time it might just have been Watford at home, but then you could have said that about Brighton. Tottenham have had time to recharge and the international break will have given everyone time to change their mindset. I'm going for a 2-1 win to the hosts at 15/2 .

Who’s a good bet for 1st scorer?

Dele Alli could be a decent shout here at 15/2 . He hasn't been involved in the internationals and has been working with the coaching staff for the past two weeks, so he'll be fresh and ready. Pochettino has faith that we'll see the real Dele Alli back again soon and this might be the game where it begins.

Who’s on the naughty step?

Danny Rose is on three yellow cards in the Premier League and is just two away from a ban. His all-action style of play means he's often in danger of picking up a booking.

Who’s on pens?

Who else but Harry Kane? He’s 23/10 to score first and 6/10 anytime .

Will you keep a clean sheet?

Spurs' defence has looked shaky this season and although Watford have struggled for goals this season, Tottenham have been very generous to opponents so the Hornets will get chances. It's just whether they take them or not.

Without Hugo Lloris too, they are 6/5 to keep a clean sheet but 6/10 to concede .
