Tottenham's hosting of Manchester United in the first weekend of the Premier League's return has widely been reported to be set for Friday night billing and a fresh report has backed up that belief.
The Athletic are the latest to report that Jose Mourinho's hosting of his former side is set for the prime-time slot on Friday evening, following on from other reports stating the same.
At this stage, it is now widely expected that the fixture will slot into the Friday evening slot and it would be a major surprise if that wasn't the case.
However, it has been reported that a battle for the rights for the fixture has been going on behind the scenes from the TV broadcasters.
Sky Sports will be showing 64 live matches, 25 of which will be free-to-air, while the BBC and Amazon Prime will be showing four matches each, all of which will be free to access.
The final 20 matches will be televised by BT Sport, who have confirmed to football.london that there are no plans for any of the coverage to be available for free.
While coverage of Spurs vs United was likely wanted by all, the report from the Athletic adds that Sky will be televising the match - which isn't a huge surprise given their Friday night match coverage throughout the season so far.
It is likely, however, that the match will not be available for free as Sky has previously stated that the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool will be their first free-to-air offering.
A date for that fixture is yet to be confirmed, with four slots available on Saturday and Sunday as well as on Monday Night Football.
