Manchester United beat Tottenham 2-1 in a feisty Shanghai friendly with goals from Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes either side of a deflected Lucas Moura effort.
Martial found a gap between Paulo Gazzaniga's legs to score 21 minutes into the International Champions Cup tie, thoughs tempers flared in humid conditions: Moussa Sissoko appeared to stamp on Daniel James, while Andreas Pereira went in with a studs-up challenge on Harry Kane.
Lucas equalised with a deflected effort with 25 minutes to go, but United academy graduate Gomes scored an 80th-minute winner from an acute angle after exhanging a neat one-two with Juan Mata.
