Tottenham vs Man City odds: Sergio Aguero is 11/4 to score first

It’s a management rivalry many look forward to - Jose Mourinho vs Pep Guardiola.

Two of football’s greatest managers go head-to-head for the 23rd time and Guardiola will welcome his record if it was ever brought up.

With 11 wins and six draws from 22 matches - the Spaniard has by far the better record against the Tottenham manager.

Aymeric Laporte is a doubt along with Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho but when they come back it will feel like three huge signings in January!

The Pools spoke to MEN’s Simon Bajkowski ahead of the match:

Recommended bets:

  • Sergio Aguero to score first - 11/4
  • Correct score - 2-1 Man City - 15/2

Win, lose or draw?

I’m backing City to win ( 4/7). Spurs have not been great lately and even though this may be seen as a classic "Mourinho" fixture by some, they lack depth and have not had a fantastic January transfer window either. Let's go 2-1 ( 15/2).

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

City missed an absolute hatful against United in a rare blank for them but David de Gea was the main reason Aguero couldn't score and he will be best-placed to score - even if he missed a crucial penalty at this stadium last season

Who's on the naughty step? (first card)

Guardiola played two pacy wing-backs to help cover for Nicolas Otamendi's lack of pace but even they cannot prevent him giving needless fouls away near the penalty box.

Who's on pens?

Aguero ( 7/10) if he plays, after that who on earth knows. Kevin De Bruyne ( 2/1 anytime) is probably the answer despite Guardiola talking the goalkeeper up.

Will your team keep a clean sheet?

It depends on how many defenders Guardiola has available. With Laporte, Mendy and Fernandinho all doubts it's hard to think they will ( 4/9) - although they did limit United's chances in midweek.

Odds are subject to change.
