Tottenham vs Man City odds: Could Harry Kane and Son Heung-min maintain form?

It's another chapter in the Jose Mourinho vs Pep Guardiola rivalry - El Clasicos, Champions League final places, a European Super Cup and Premier League glory have all been on the line in this battle that has last more than 10 years.

Mourinho got one over the Spaniard last season in a 2-0 win at home, and a repeat of that is 22/1 with thepools.com. However, the Spurs head coach has not secured back-to-back wins against the former Barcelona manager throughout his career.

And the bookmakers appear to be backing the visitors this time around at 4/5 with Spurs outsiders at 3/1.

Expect a Son-Kane combination of some sort with the England 5/1 to score first and his South Korean teammate at 13/2.

So a draw at 3/1 or a City win at 4/5 could be the likely outcome if history repeats itself.

Statistically, we can expect goals from both sides as Spurs average 2.53 goals a game in all competitions this season while City average exactly two.

Clean sheets might be out the window with Spurs concede 1.06 on average and City 0.92 in all competitions so both teams to score at 4/7 could be worth backing if the stats paint a picture.

Both sides average around three bookings a game too but with more at stake in this match and the history between the two managers' rivalry, we could see more than four bookings in this match at 19/20 too.

Recommended tips

  • Spurs to win and both teams to score - 5/1
  • Harry Kane to score anytime - 6/4

Finally, six matches featuring Tottenham this season have seen the first goal scored inside the first 15 minutes - more than any other time period which is 9/5 for this weekend's game too.
