Tottenham vs Man City LIVE: Premier League result, latest updates and fan reaction

Tottenham vs Manchester City LIVE

Manchester City blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday with Dominic Solanke's double for the hosts after the break handing their north London rivals Arsenal a huge Premier League title boost.

Tottenham were comprehensively outplayed in the first half but everything changed after the break and Solanke earned his side a deserved point with an acrobatic moment of magic.

First-half goals by Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo had City cruising towards a win that would have cut Arsenal's lead back to four points and a listless Tottenham left the field to boos at the interval.

But Solanke poked in from close range in the 53rd minute to revive home hopes and his second in the 70th minute was one that will be replayed over and over as he dived forward to meet Conor Gallagher's cross and conjured a flicked finish with his heel that looped in over City keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Second-placed City's fourth draw in six league games left them on 47 points from 24 games, six points behind Arsenal who won 4-0 at Leeds United on Saturday. Tottenham are 14th with 29 points.

Spurs' players drop to the pitch at the full-time whistle. A mighty effort and a well deserved point.

Are they turning a corner under Frank? Too early to say, but that was an impressive fightback if nothing else. Something to build on.

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

18:22 , Alex Young

Perhaps a precaution, but Solanke receiving treatment is always a worry given how long he has spent out.

His fitness is one thing, but his performance has elevated Spurs' attack. They have really missed him and Tuchel, for one, will be impressed.

Spurs are really going for us!

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

18:03 , Alex Young

It is a sublime finish from Solanke, but that goal was created by Gallagher.

He charged into a tackle, powered his way down the right flank and crossed for Solanke to finish acrobatically. That is exactly what Gallagher is all about.

GOAL!

18:02 , Alex Young

70min: All square!

A stunning, improvised finish, a back-heeled flick, from Solanke to convert over Donnarumma.

Goal of the season contender.

68min: Tel and Odobert replace Kolo Muani and Bissouma.

Tottenham 1-2 Man City

17:47 , Alex Young

55min: Now what do Spurs have in them?

GOAL!

17:44 , Alex Young

50min: Ball sits up for Gallagher to half-volley at goal from the edge of the area, but sends the ball into row Z.

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

17:39 , Alex Young

Romero's withdrawal is a real worry.

Spurs fans will be hoping that is not another injury, as there were suggestions he had been ill in the week.

Dragusin has really struggled today, so it will be a big ask for him to command Spurs' backline without his captain alongside him.

Tottenham 0-2 Man City

17:37 , Alex Young

Sarr is on for Romero, so Spurs are now without their captain and just one recognised centre-back.

Second half

17:35 , Alex Young

46min: Back underway.

17:31 , Alex Young

This could get very ugly for Spurs if they do not improve in the second half.

The defence and midfield already look tired and stretched.

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

It had to be him.

Frank had talked up Spurs' interest in Semenyo pre-match and he strikes here to deliver a hammer blow right before half-time.

Dragusin's lapse pass was intercepted before the ball was worked to Semenyo to finish with slightly more composure than he managed with his attempted backflip celebration.

Cue groans, from player and supporters.

This has been a better spell for Spurs, but they are still yet to create their first real chance. The home support sense they can get back in this game.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

17:05 , Alex Young

34min: A promising, albeit brief, spell from Spurs as first Kolo Muani and then Simons look to make something happen. But the move eventually breaks down as Udogie fails to get on the end of a Simons ball.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

17:03 , Alex Young

32min: Gallagher looks to be OK, as he gives away another free kick.

Haaland looks to spark another attack, with Bernardo making a run down the left, but he is quickly crowded out.

28min: Gallagher is limping, but he is going to try to run it off.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

26min: Oh, Cherki is going to stay on, much to Guardiola’s frustration. They share a few words on the touchline.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

16:56 , Alex Young

25min: Cherki has been unable to shake off that earlier knock, so will be replaced.

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Dragusin is really struggling with Haaland right now.

The Romanian is still finding his feet after 12 months out and it shows.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

16:55 , Alex Young

23min: Almost a glorious second for Cherki!

A stunning run after leaving Dragusin flat-footed and turning Romero inside out, Cherki shoots across goal but is denied by a fantastic save from Vicario.

16:54 , Alex Young

23min: Simon again over the set-piece, and this time goes for goal but can only hit the wall. Donnarumma claims the deflected shot.

21min: Kolo Muani is lucky to escape a booking for a very late foul on Rodri.

Spurs already very frustrated, and the crowd are trying to lift the players.

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Three times City have cut through Spurs and three times they have come close to scoring.

City are going from back to front in a matter of seconds and Spurs look powerless to stop them.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

16:49 , Alex Young

18min: City should be 2-0 up as Haaland runs through, holds off two defenders and tries to lob Vicario... but can only find the roof of the net.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

16:49 , Alex Young

17min: Cherki is down and receiving treatment. He looks in agony.

Tottenham 0-1 Man City

16:46 , Alex Young

15min: City passing Spurs to death at the moment. The hosts are chasing shadows.

Sam Tabuteau at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

16:45 , Alex Young

That did not take long at all. Frank is fuming on the touchline, that was so easy for City.

(REUTERS)

GOAL!

16:43 , Alex Young

11min: Cherki breaks the deadlock!

Bissouma gives the ball away in the area, Cherki is played in and has Dragusin on the back foot before firing low into the far corner.

4min: Spurs looking to send it long to Kolo Muani at every opportunity, but are struggling to keep hold of the ball.

Spence, Danso, Van de Ven injury updates

16:00 , Alex Young

“Micky is a minor [injury], I fully expect him to be back to face Manchester United [next weekend],” Frank told SPURSPLAY. “He just couldn’t make it for this one.

“I think it's fair to say that we're hit pretty hard with injuries, but it's part of the game,” Frank told Sky Sports. “We need to find solutions, others need to step up.

“Kevin Danso, another quite unlucky one. He hyperextended his big toe when landing on the foot of an opponent against Frankfurt, and that means a ligament snapped in the big toe.

“He was extremely unlucky. We don’t know the extent of it, we have an appointment next week to clarify that.

“Djed [has] a minor calf injury that will keep him out for this game.”

- Pep Guardiola has lost more league games against Spurs than any other opponent in his managerial career (8).

- Tottenham Hotspur are winless in five Premier League matches (D3 L2), their fourth run of 5+ winless games in the last two seasons.

Tottenham vs Man City prediction

14:26 , Giuseppe Muro

Thomas Frank may have found his groove in Europe, but his continued struggles in the Premier League suggest we could see Spurs stumble again here.

In the past, though, Frank has shown a certain aptitude for getting the better of Pep Guardiola. He did so earlier this season in just his second domestic match with Spurs, and twice with Brentford.

Guardiola will be on high alert, then, particularly with so many first-team players ruled out against a Spurs side growing in confidence.

But with Erling Haaland back amongst the goals and Rodri fit and available, he should have the tools at his disposal to get three points here.

Man City to win, 2-1

Manchester City team news

14:19 , Giuseppe Muro

Manchester City have new signings Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi back after they were ineligible in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Rodri was missing against Galatasaray due to suspension but he will also start at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as City bid to respond to Arsenal’s win at Leeds on Saturday.

Jeremy Doku has been ruled out for more than two weeks with a calf injury and Pep Guardiola faces some big selection decisions.

Erling Haaland dropped to the bench in last weekend’s win over Wolves but started and scored in the Galatasaray win and will start.

Tottenham team news

14:12 , Giuseppe Muro

Tottenham have been sweating over the fitness of Micky van de Ven.

Van de Ven missed Wednesday’s 2-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt with an unspecified minor injury.

Conor Gallagher and Yves Bissouma are available after being ineligible in the Champions League.

Dominic Solanke is fit enough to start, having come off the bench to score in Germany on Wednesday.

Pedro Porro and Richarlison remain sidelined.
