Tottenham vs Man City
Uefa Champions League 2018-19
Quarter-final, first leg
Venue: New Tottenham stadium (provisional)
Date: Tuesday, 9 April, 2019
Kick-off time: 8pm GMT
Premier League rivals Tottenham and Manchester City have been pitted against one another in the Champions League quarter-finals.
A place in the last four is on offer for either Mauricio Pochettino or Pep Guardiola, who will both fancy their chances of progressing after avoiding the likes of Barcelona and Juventus in the draw.
The first tie will take place at Tottenham's new stadium - providing Spurs' two test events and first Premier League game there vs Crystal Palace on April 3 all go to plan - before the deciding leg at the Etihad.
Whatever happens, the first leg promises to be an electrifying affair on the first big European night of a new era for Spurs.
Tottenham vs Man City team news and predicted line-ups
Neither Spurs nor City have any suspension issues to worry about, with yellow cards wiped at this stage of the competition.
Spurs' only current injury concern is Harry Winks, though he should be back from a hip problem by the end of March.
Tottenham XI: Lloris, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Sissoko, Dier, Alli, Davies, Son, Eriksen, Kane
John Stones (groin) could be back for City along with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne (thigh), Benjamin Mendy (knee).
Fernandinho is on the comeback trail with Fabian Delph and Nicolas Otamendi, but there is no word on Vincent Kompany.
Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Laporte, Otamendi, Danilo, Gundogan, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Sterling, Aguero
Score prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Man City
Man City won 1-0 at Wembley in the Premier League earlier this season, and will be confident of scoring at least one away goal in the first leg.
However, Spurs will surely be buoyed by the prospect of playing at their new stadium, and have earned some famous European home wins in recent years.
With neither manager likely to commit to the tie on the night, it could be a cagey affair to set up a second-leg shootout in Manchester.
