Tottenham will still be without Harry Kane and Dele Alli for Sunday's Premier League visit of Leicester.
Kane (ankle) is progressing well but the earliest he could return is the trip to Burnley on February 23, while Alli (hamstring) is also out.
Ben Davies (groin) remains sidelined with Eric Dier (virus) and Vincent Janssen (knee) absent.
"[Kane] is nearly ready to play, but we need to be realistic too," said Pochettino. "I think he's so close to come back again, not for Sunday and not for Wednesday, but we'll see after."
Meanwhile, Leicester winger Marc Albrighton is likely to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
Albrighton suffered the problem in training before last weekend's defeat to Manchester United and needs surgery.
Daniel Amartey remains out ahead of Sunday's trip to Tottenham with a broken ankle but is stepping up his recovery after being out since October.
