Tottenham beat Hoffenheim 3-0 in their penultimate pre-season outing of the summer. Mikey Moore starred as he netted a brace, while Richarlison opened the scoring in an impressive display by the home side. Roberto De Zerbi is sure to shuffle his pack for the reverse fixture behind closed doors tomorrow, when the north Londoners welcome the Bundesliga side to Hotspur Way.
Sandro Tonali impressed in the engine room once more following his £100milion move from Newcastle United earlier in the transfer window, while Andy Robertson was another who shone, with the left-back building his fitness since his switch to the capital from Liverpool on a free transfer.
Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke partnered each other in central defence and formed a solid partnership against a Hoffenheim side that didn’t really threaten their Premier League opponents, but did have some bite and some danger when they came forward on the counter attack. All attentions move back to Hotspur Way on Sunday, when these two sides face each other once more, likely with completely different teams.

Tottenham rounded off their pre-season campaign - in front of fans - with a 3-0 win over their Bundesliga opponents at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Richarlison netted the opener in the first half, latching onto a deflected cross from Andy Robertson after a lovely turn and drive from £100million summer signing Sandro Tonali.
It was a goal that defines a Roberto De Zerbi side; quick pass and move, free-flowing football, and a neat finish.
Spurs struggled in the opening exchanges with several patterns of play going awry or looking rushed and ragged, but they dominated proceedings as Hoffenheim sat in and the game wore on.

Romero's parting message

Cristian Romero has confirmed that he will leave Tottenham this summer, and he is set to move to Atletico Madrid.
The Argentine, who captained Spurs for the past season, leaves for a fee reported to be £34.2million.
In a post on social media, the central defender penned a farewell message to Spurs.

Phillips the latest to leave

The deal is worth a £20million package (£7m plus £13m in add-ons) and has a 20% sell-on and matching rights.

It is unclear whether Van de Ven is struggling for fitness, but De Zerbi will hope to have him involved in some way this weekend.
Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie, meanwhile, are seeing their minutes managed after missing large parts of last season through injury.
De Zerbi is likely to be able to call upon World Cup winner Pedro Porro after he received a guard of honour upon his return to the club’s training ground this week.
There is hope that Mohammed Kudus could play for the first time since January after returning to full-team training following a serious quad injury.
His return is being managed, with De Zerbi admitting the club initially rushed Kudus back before he suffered a setback in his recovery in April.
However, he is said to be closing in on a return to full fitness, in a major boost to Spurs’ attacking options.

Spurs are likely to field two completely different starting lineups in each game, with those who are partially or not involved at all today likely to play on Sunday as De Zerbi looks to get his squad up to full fitness ahead of the Premier League getting under way next weekend.
Some of those players who were not involved against Getafe, including new signings Mateus Fernandes and Marcos Senesi, then played an in-house friendly later in the day.
Despite playing two separate friendlies, there were still a number of notable absentees from both teams that will concern De Zerbi as the new season approaches.
James Maddison, who is in contention to take the captaincy once Cristian Romero departs for Atletico Madrid, has still yet to feature in pre-season.
Spurs are taking a cautious approach as he continues to recover from an anterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for most of last term.
