Tottenham vs Everton
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Date: Sunday, 12 May, 2019

Kick-off: 3pm BST

Tottenham must put their Champions League celebrations to one side and focus on one last domestic challenge as they host Everton on the final day of the season.

Lucas Moura's second-half hat-trick saw Spurs seal a stunning comeback victory over Ajax in Amsterdam on Wednesday night as Mauricio Pochettino's side set up an all-English Champions League Final against Liverpool on June 1.

Should Tottenham win that match, they will automatically qualify for next season's competition - but a point or more at home to Everton on Sunday to seal a top-four spot would also do the trick.

If Spurs match Arsenal's result on the final day (or avoid a heavy defeat), they will finish fourth - and third is still on offer if they better Chelsea's result.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be full of buoyant fans as they welcome back their Champions League Finalists, but Pochettino will remind his players that there is still a job to do - as well as the chance to stake a late claim for a start vs Liverpool.

Tottenham vs Everton team news and predicted line-ups

Ajax v Tottenham post match review

Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen could have a race to get fit for the Champions League final as he has been ruled out of the Premier League clash with Everton.

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen could have a race to get fit for the Champions League final as he has been ruled out of Sunday's match.

The defender picked up an ankle injury against Ajax and will now be assessed fully to determine whether he will be fit for the Madrid showpiece on June 1.

Spurs will be very light against Everton as Harry Kane, Harry Winks, and Davinson Sanchez are definitely out injured while Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama are being assessed.

Juan Foyth and Heung-min Son are suspended and will also miss the first two games of next season.

As for Everton, Richarlison is a doubt due to a rib injury, though Yerry Mina could return from a thigh injury.

Andre Gomes is suspended after accepting a three-game ban for violent conduct.

Tottenham XI: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Davies; Sissoko, Eriksen; Alli, Lamela, Lucas, Llorente

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Zouma, Digne, Schneiderlin, Gueye, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bernard, Calvert-Lewin

Score prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Everton

With Tottenham missing a few key men and likely still recovering from the euphoria of their Champions League win, Everton may make things tough for the hosts in north London.

The Toffees have hit some form late in the season to ease the pressure on Marco Silva, and the visitors will be confident of getting something from the game.

Still, Spurs will finish fourth as long as Everton do not inflict a painful defeat on them.
