Tottenham vs Everton prediction: How will Premier League fixture play out today?

Photograph: Tottenham Hotspur FC via Getty I

Sunday afternoon’s big Premier League match sees Everton head to Tottenham Hotspur.

Both teams will want to make a good start to maintain their positivity, with both sets of fans hoping for better fortune in 2020/21.

When the two sides met in July, Spurs edged a dreadful match 1-0 but the talking point was Son Heung-min and Hugo Lloris needing to be separated by team-mates after an argument.

Both sides have made signings this summer, with Everton’s the more expensive and big-name additions so far.

Here’s all you need to know about the game.

What’s the team news?

Matt Doherty is likely to be given a debut for Spurs, as is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Allan and James Rodriguez are the new faces set to feature for Everton, along with Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham:  Lloris; Doherty, Alderweireld, Dier, Davies; Hojbjerg, Winks; Brgwijn, Dele, Son; Kane.

Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Keane, Digne; Rodriguez, Gomez, Allan, Iwobi; Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.

Odds

Spurs 19/20

Draw 15/4

Everton 17/5

Prediction

Both teams have ambitions greater than their achievements of 19/20, but Everton fans in particular may have to wait a while to see the team take shape. If Mourinho can get his attacking players sharp and in form early on this season, Spurs will quickly become a force once more. Spurs 2-0 Everton.
