Tottenham were back in Europa League action tonight as they beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 in north London in the first leg of their last-16 tie thanks to two Harry Kane goals.
Spurs were originally due to travel to Croatia for the first leg, but the hosts were switched due to Arsenal playing at home on the same day.
Spurs wanted to put in a strong performance to keep up the momentum ahead of Sunday’s north London derby, with a top-four finish not yet beyond Jose Mourinho’s men - and a Kane brace delivered the win.
With Spurs also keeping a clean sheet, that means Mourinho can now fully concentrate on the derby against Arsenal before defending a two-goal leg in Zagreb.
