Tottenham vs Crystal Palace prediction: Dele Alli to repay Jose Mourinho's faith

Jose Mourinho's hint that he will be making changes for today's game against Crystal Palace has frustrated me.

The risk of the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min could be rested ahead of their Europa League clash against Dinamo Zagreb and the North London Derby next week has put a spanner in the works.

However, Spurs are favourites regardless in this match at 1/2 with Betfred while the visitors are a long shot at 6/1.

Palace may have had some decent results recently - most notably a win against arch rivals Brighton & Hove Albion and drawing at home to a fatigued Manchester United midweek - without talisman Wilfried Zaha.

But even with the Ivory Coast international returning, I am not convinced the Eagles are going to back home tonight happy campers.

Tips

  • Spurs win and both teams to score - 5/2
  • Over 3.5 goals - 11/5
  • Dele Alli to score anytime - 10/3

Spurs record speaks for itself

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League meetings against Crystal Palace with nine wins and two draws which is their longest ongoing run against any side currently in the competition.

Palace have played effective defensive football while Zaha has been out injured but his return Roy Hodgson may look to play a more direct style of play tonight - which could fall well into a counter-attack trap for Spurs with Gareth Bale, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min up top.

However, this could risk Spurs conceding too. While the north London side have three consecutive back-to-back clean sheet and wins, I would be surprised to see Hugo Lloris keeping up that level of form.

Spurs to win and both teams to score at 5/2.

Dele Alli returning to his best?

Credit where credit is due for Mourinho - the Special One has done it again. First with Gareth Bale and now early signs that Dele Alli is returning to his best.

On Thursday, Spurs fans were treated to the spectacle they have been asking since September - Kane, Bale, Son and Alli! All of a sudden Mourinho's side look like a force to be reckoned with - a far cry to how they looked back in January slipping down to ninth.

Even Bale looks inspired with four goals and three assists from their last five games.

Bale, Kane, Son AND Alli is a really exciting attending quadruple to consider. I'm seeing goals, goals, goals in this match with over 3.5 goals at 11/5.
