Tottenham vs Crystal Palace: All the latest team news, injury updates, footie5 talk and more

Rejoice - Premier League action has returned after two long weeks that is known as the international break!

Tottenham play hosts to Crystal Palace who find themselves in a decent position despite all the transfer that has happened/is happening with star player Wilfried Zaha.

Every week our footie5 pundits Jermaine Jenas and Sam Quek pick five matches and compete head-to-head.

This week they have selected the Spurs-Palace match this week so we've provided a preview of the weekend's match.

Here is the lowdown for this weekend's footie5 match:

Form

Tottenham have picked up a five points from a possible 12 and are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

Despite getting away to arch rivals Arsenal, they lost a two-goal lead and will want to address the issues at the back quickly.

Meanwhile, Palace have picked up two wins this season - including away to Man United - with their only defeat away to Sheffield United.

Team news

Spurs will be without Giovani Lo Celso (groin) and Juan Foyth (ankle).

Ryan Sessegnon, Tanguy Ndombele, Kyle Walker-Peters (all thigh) face late fitness tests along with Eric Dier (hip) and Davinson Sanchez (ankle).

Roy Hodgson will be hoping Scott Dann (hand) will be back in the squad after he was trampled but remains a doubt while James Tomkins (groin)

Martin Kelly (groin) is the Eagles only long-term absentee.

Head-to-head

This will be the clubs 50th meeting in their history and 41st in the league.

Defensively, Tottenham have been solid in recent against their south London rivals conceding only three goals in their last nine meetings and keeping seven clean sheets.

Palace last won at Tottenham in the FA Cup in 2016 but have not beaten them in the league in north London since 1997.

SQ: Tottenham 2-1 Crystal Palace

"I don’t know what to expect from  Tottenham . Awful vs Man City, poor at times against  Arsenal , but I think they will scrape a home win here."

JJ: Tottenham 2-0 Crystal Palace

"A much better performance for Spurs against Arsenal will have given them confidence, still a lot to work on but they'll have too much for Palace."
