Tottenham vs Bodo/Glimt LIVE
Tottenham produced a mature Europa League semi-final first leg performance against Bodo/Glimt, in the process taking a giant step towards the final. In the knowledge that next week's decider will be played on the artificial pitch in the Arctic Circle, Spurs knew the importance of a big win in north London on Thursday night.
Brennan Johnson, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke took that message on board to ensure Tottenham were on course to have a three-goal margin to defend in Norway. However, Ulrik Saltnes’ deflected goal in the 83rd minute has changed the entire outlook of the tie especially given Bodo/Glimt’s impressive home record.
Still, a two-goal lead to defend. Spurs are potentially 90 minutes, or more, away from reaching a first European final since 2019 and Ange Postecoglou just may live up to his promise of always winning silverware in his second year at a club. Follow the game back below with Standard Sport's dedicated match blog, featuring expert insight and analysis from Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!

Tottenham player ratings
22:21 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneYves Bissouma 8
Produced his best performance in months to justify Postecoglou’s decision to pick him as Lucas Bergvall’s replacement. Won the ball in the build-up to the opening goal and broke up a series of Glimt attacks. The less said about his shooting the better, though.
James Maddison 9
Delivered another big moment in the Europa League with a well-taken goal to cap an lively performance. Immediately signalled to the bench after pulling up in the second half, which will be a major concern for Postecoglou.
Brennan Johnson 6
Made no mistake from close range to open the scoring. Lacked a killer instinct in the final third thereafter, however.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
21:51 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneA sloppy goal to concede, which potentially changes the whole complexion of the tie. Postecoglou will be so frustrated given that was Glimt's first shot on target all game.

21:30 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe Spurs stadium is now as loud as I can remember it in years, as supporters begin to look ahead hopefully to Bilbao.
The loss of Maddison, who immediately signalled to the bench after appearing to pull up, is a major concern for Postecoglou, however, particularly after Bergvall was spotted on crutches and in a protective boot at half-time.

21:17 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneRicharlison justified his selection with an assist after 38 seconds but he did not make the most of some great positions in the first half. Tel, who is more of a 1v1 specialist, should be more capable of beating his man.

20:53 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneHT, 2-0. So far so good for Spurs. Given how different next week's tie will be on the artificial pitch in the Arctic Circle and with a stronger Glimt team, Postecoglou's side will want at least one more goal here but they have to be delighted with that 45 minutes.

20:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneMaddison made the goals in both legs against Eintracht Frankfurt and he's delivered again tonight. There's a perception that he has had a poor season but I think he's often stepped up in big matches.

James Maddison times his run to perfection to give Spurs a two-goal lead!
Great pass from Pedro Porro and Maddison does the rest.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
20:36 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneSpurs are continuing to look threatening but Glimt will not be unhappy with the way the game's gone since the first minute. They have enjoyed a couple of spells of slick possession and appear to be growing into the contest steadily.
For their part, Spurs will be frustrated at their wasteful finishing since Johnson's goal.

Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt
20:26 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne23 min: Bissouma will not want to see this one again any time soon, his volley may have gone out of the stadium.
Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt
20:26 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne22 min: Just a couple of times where Richarlison has failed to make the most of good attacking situations. Does win a corner though which is flicked away by Hogh for another Spurs corner.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
20:23 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneIt is easier to see why Postecoglou has picked this line-up now the game has started. Spurs visibly have a physical edge on Glimt, with Bissouma and Richarlison among the players bringing a Premier League intensity and physicality to the contest which is unsettling the visitors.
Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt
20:21 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne17 min: Visitors come forward for the first time with a slick passing move, but Spurs defend well and Solanke shows great centre-forward play to get the team up the pitch.

Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt
20:15 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne11 min: No doubt the early goal would have been a shock to Bodo/Glimt’s system. To their credit, they have steadied the ship without posing too much of a threat going forward.
Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt
20:13 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne9 min: Maddison’s corner causes some issues for the visitors but van de Ven heads the ball over the bar.
Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt
20:10 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne6 min: Almost a second for Tottenham but Maddison can’t keep his effort underneath the bar.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
20:07 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBissouma and Richarlison - the two surprise picks - were both instrumental in the goal, the latter doing superbly to head Porro's cross into the path of Johnson, who was himself not assured of a starting place. Postecoglou's big calls immediately paying off.
GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Bodo/Glimt | Brennan Johnson '1
20:06 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne1 min: GOALLLLLL
Tottenham are ahead after 40 seconds as Richarlison knocks the ball across the face of goal and Johnson is on hand to steer it into the back of the net.
The perfect start for Spurs.
KICK-OFF!
20:03 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWe are underway in this Europa League semi-final first leg!
Here we go!
19:57 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneRight then, the teams are out onto the pitch.
And that means kick-off is just a few minutes away, as Tottenham look to secure a positive result ahead of next week’s second leg in Norway.
Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
19:55 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe Spurs stadium is looking great, with a season of white only broken up by a sea of yellow from the Glimt fans in the away end and supporters of both sides in great voice.
Have to say the light show isn't exactly working in broad daylight, though.
Kjetil Knutsen relishing Postecoglou reunion
19:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneKjetil Knutsen masterminded a 5-1 aggregate win over Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic during the 2021/22 Conference League campaign.
However, the Bodo/Glimt manager is not reading too much into that result.
"I know the coach, but it is a totally different game," he said.
"We need to play with a perfect defence on Thursday because they have a lot of rotations and really good individuals. [They will create] a lot of situations in our box. We have played good games against them, but I think Tottenham is a better team than Celtic."

Bergvall absence explained
19:15 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneTottenham are without Lucas Bergvall for tonight's Europa League semi-final first leg showdown against Bodo/Glimt.
Bergvall had been ever-present for Spurs in the Europa League this season, starting each of the last six fixtures, and was expected to retain his place starting line-up tonight.
However, an ankle issue means he will play no part at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is a crucial game to keep the north London outfit's season alive.

Richarlison starts
19:10 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneAnge Postecoglou has sprung a surprise with his Tottenham team tonight as Richarlison starts ahead of Mathys Tel.
Elsewhere, Lucas Bergvall misses out but Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven return.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
19:05 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneYves Bissouma has been subbed off at half-time in three of his last four Spurs starts and after 55 minutes in the other game.
It's big ask to expect him to suddenly find some form in Spurs' biggest match of the season. And Richarlison has never started with Solanke and not on the wing since October 2023, so Postecoglou's front three also seems like a risk.

Ange Postecoglou believes Tottenham can “build something” around Lucas Bergvall and the core group of young players at the club.
Bergvall has just signed a new six-year contract after impressing in first season at Spurs following his £8.5million move from Djurgardens last summer.
The 19-year-old Swedish midfielder is one of several talented youngsters at Spurs along with the likes of Archie Gray, Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie and Mikey Moore.

James Maddison backs 'great man' Ange Postecoglou
18:20 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneTottenham midfielder James Maddison says the squad is "100 per cent behind" head coach Ange Postecoglou and believes everyone at the club must bear "collective responsibility" for an "unacceptable" league season.
Spurs slumped to a 19th Premier League defeat of the season at Liverpool on Sunday and a miserable campaign has left Postecoglou's position at risk in the summer, even if they win the Europa League.
Spurs face a semi-final against Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt, with Postecoglou aiming to lead the club to a first trophy in 17 years and a place in next season's Champions League.
Speaking before Thursday's first leg, Maddison backed "great man" Postecoglou and says he has enormous respect for the Australian.

Predicted Tottenham XI
18:15 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneCristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will return to the backline after being rested for the chastening 5-1 defeat to Liverpool, while Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur have established themselves as the preferred midfield two.
Guglielmo Vicario has been shaky of late but remains Spurs' No1 goalkeeper and a dressing room leader, while Dominic Solanke will lead the line.
Radu Dragusin is Spurs' only long-term absentee with a cruciate ligament injury which will keep him out until next season, while Antonin Kinsky, Sergio Reguilon and Timo Werner are all ineligible in Europe.
Predicted Tottenham XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Bergvall, Maddison; Kulusevski, Solanke, Tel

Ange Postecoglou knows perfect plan for Bodo/Glimt
18:10 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWith Tottenham's season and surely his job on the line, Ange Postecoglou is likely to lean on what he knows when setting up his team against Bodo/Glimt tonight.
Which is just as well, because if there was ever a time to take the game to the opponents and try to run up a big score, it is against the depleted Norwegians in the Europa League semi-final first leg.
Spurs' win away at Eintracht Frankfurt in their quarter-finals was a gritty, committed display, which ended with a backs-to-the-wall rearguard from a Postecoglou team playing five defenders and aiming to run down the clock.

Tottenham vs Bodo/Glimt: Head to head (h2h) history and results
17:55 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThis will be the first competitive match between the two sides.
Standard Sport prediction
17:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThere is little point reading too much into Tottenham’s Premier League displays, with it clear the full focus is on European matters.
They were impressive in the previous round against Frankfurt and a repeat of that should be too much for a weakened Bodo/Glimt side, particularly on home soil.
Spurs will be keen to take control of the tie before they head to Norway and an artificial surface next week, and they should be confident of doing so.
Tottenham to win, 3-1.
Bodo/Glimt team news
17:45 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBodo/Glimt are depleted, with captain Patrick Berg, Hakon Evjen and Andreas Helmersen all suspended.
There are also injury concerns for centre-back Odin Bjortuft and winger Ole Blomberg, meaning the visitors will be forced into changes across the pitch.
Tottenham team news
17:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Dejan Kulusevski are all expected to return to the starting lineup, having been rested against Liverpool over the weekend.
Heung-min Son has been ruled out, though, having missed the last three matches with a foot injury, and remains a doubt for the second leg.
