Tottenham vs Bayern Munich
Champions League 2019/20 season
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Date: Tuesday 1st October, 2019
Kick-off time: 8pm BST
Tottenham host Bayern Munich in one of the ties of matchday two as the German giants head to north London to take on last season's Champions League finalists.
Spurs and Bundesliga champions Bayern are clear favourites to progress from Group B, which makes the 2-2 draw at Olympiakos so frustrating for Mauricio Pochettino given that his side were two goals to the good.
That means Spurs must realistically take points off Bayern in one of their two group games to finish top of the table and get themselves a better chance of a favourable last-16 draw - though a defeat could leave them facing a real battle to get out of the group at all.
Prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Bayern
Tottenham have had a frustrating start to the season, going out of the Carabao Cup to Colchester and dropping Premier League points to sit 10 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Bayern are currently top of the Bundesliga, but have drawn two of their opening six games, and are not the attacking force they once were.
Still, Philippe Coutinho is in superb form, and both he and Robert Lewandowski could cause Spurs some real problems.
