Tottenham Hotspur fell to a humiliating defeat against a clinical Bayern side in Tuesday night's Champions League meeting.

A second-half Serge Gnabry hat-trick and a Robert Lewandowski brace took the game beyond a Spurs side that led early in the first half.

How are the Germans doing domestically?

They top the Bundesliga rather predictably. 14 points from six games after a nervy 3-2 win at Paderborn on the weekend.
One man who hasn't disappointed so far in Munich is Philippe Coutinho.

Two goals in his last two appearances for the former Liverpool midfielder who starts tonight.
Spurs showed they do have bottle on the weekend, contrary to what you may hear about the North Londoners from football Twitter...

They dug in for a 2-1 win against Southampton despite Serge Aurier's red card in the first half.

Eleven men probably needed against the German Champions tonight.
Rio Ferdinand: Spurs don't look like a team that can win trophies.

Does Harry Kane need to move in order to challenge for titles?

He was in a Champions League final last season...
It's a big night for Dele Alli.

The England midfielder seemed to have fallen out of favour with Mauricio Pochettino, but he's thrown in on the biggest night of the season so far.

He provided the crucial assist on that night in Amsterdam last season.
It looks like it could be a diamond in midfield for Spurs tonight.

Winks at the base of midfield with Sissoko and Ndombele either side, Alli behind Son and Kane who lead the line together.
For Bayern, likely to be a 4-2-3-1 with Coutinho behind goalscoring powerhouse Lewandowski.

The Polish striker is on 10 goals in his six Bundesliga games. Unbelievable.
Just under 15 mins until kick off now.

What a game we have on our hands tonight.
It's an important night for Bayern boss Niko Kovac as well.

Many still aren't convinced of his credentials in Munich, but a win on a big Champions League night can quash any speculation over his position.

The famous anthem bellows throughout the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium...
KICK OFF! Tottenham 0-0 Bayern

1 MIN Tottenham 0-0 Bayern
Spurs look sharp from the get go. Kane breaks through the Bayern midfield but his pass doesn't find Alli.Gnabry, formerly of Arsenal, then gets the first strike on goal after latching on to a Coman dink. Lloris punches clear.
3 MIN Tottenham 0-0 Bayern
Another ball over the top, this time on the right. Coutinho tries to pull back to Lewandowski who was waiting on the edge of the box. Alderweireld is out well to clear the danger. The Germans starting better and keeping the ball.
5 MIN Tottenham 0-0 Bayern
CHANCE! Good work from Sissoko who then plays to Ndombele. The former Lyon midfielder produces a sensational through ball into Son. He drills his left footed effort at Neuer's feet and the ball is cleared. Open game so far.
 8 MIN Tottenham 0-0 Bayern
Son causing real issues with his movement in behind. This time it's a long ball from Spurs as Rose curls one down the left channel. The Korean lost his footing at the vital moment but could have been a threatening position for Spurs.
10 MIN Tottenham 0-0 Bayern
Ndombele is running this midfield when he gets the ball. Leaves his marker for dust and plays another sumptuous ball through to Son on the left. Again his shot is gathered by Neuer as Kane waited at the far post for a tap in. The French midfielder rising to the occasion so far.

Here is everything you need to know about the game:

When is it?

Kick-off is at 8pm.

How can I watch it?

The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate, and can be streamed online via the BT app.

Team news

Initial fears of an injury to Son Heung-min, after the forward was withdrawn early during Spurs’ win over Southampton, have been dampened meaning new signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon remain the only two players unavailable to Pochettino.

Bayern are missing both leon Goretzka and Jann-Fiete Arp through injury, while Ivan Perisic is also a doubt after missing Bayern’s victory at Paderborn through illness. David Alaba has completed his injury recovery and could return to the starting eleven.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham: Lloris; Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Ndombele, Winks, Sissoko; Eriksen; Son, Kane

Bayern: Neuer; Pavard, Sule, Boateng, Alaba; Kimmich, Thiago; Gnabry, Coutinho, Coman; Lewandowski

Prediction

Tottenham 1-3 Bayern Munich

Despite a number of iffy performances to start the season, Spurs will raise their level against Bayern and have shown on numerous occasions that they are capable of holding their own against such opposition. However, with the added threat of Coutinho, and Lewandowski in such spectacular form, Bayern should come out on top in a wide-open attacking game.
