Tanguy Ndombele will make his full debut for Tottenham this evening as their Premier League campaign kicks off against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Sadium.
But there are some notable absentees for Spurs.
Jan Vertonghen was not included in the starting line-up against Aston Villa.
The Belgium international was believed to have been ruled out through injury, with Davinson Sanchez coming in, but manager Mauricio Pochettino has suggested it was purely a tactical decision.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match, he said: "It's a decision. You take decisions as a manager. We decide for different reasons that we will play Davinson and Toby and then Serge on the bench can play in two sides and Dier can play centre-back too. It’s impossible to find a place for every player."
Christian Eriksen was also named on the bench, while deadline-day signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon were not involved.
Villa handed debuts to four players as Tom Heaton, Bjorn Engles, Trezeguet and Wesley all got the nod.
