Tottenham vs Arsenal teams: Predicted XIs for north London derby clash

Arsenal head across London in the hope of piling yet more misery on rivals Tottenham following a week to forget for Mauricio Pochettino.

Defeat at Burnley, all but ending hopes of a three-horse Premier League title race, was followed by an FA charge for his row with the referee at Turf Moor, Mike Dean, before their visit to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night resulted in consecutive defeats.

Losing at Stamford Bridge is never something to be overly concerned by, but the manner of Tottenham's performance will have Pochettino worried. Spurs were limp at best and are now nervously looking over their shoulder rather than up at the top two as those vying for fourth close the gap.

Arsenal, who moved to within four points of Spurs with a 5-1 win over Bournemouth mid-week, will be looking to do the double over their bitter rivals after the thrilling encounter at the Emirates ended in a 4-2 win for Unai Emery's side.

If they are to consign Tottenham to a run of three League defeats in a row for the first time under Pochettino, however, Arsenal must end a run of 21 visits to other top six rivals without a win.

Here is how Standard Sport think the two sides could line up...

Tottenham [3-4-1-2]: Lloris; Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Aurier, Winks, Sissoko, Rose; Eriksen; Son, Kane.

Arsenal [3-4-2-1]: Leno; Sokratis, Koscielny, Mustafi; Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Torreira, Kolasniac; Mkhitaryan; Aubameyang; Lacazette.
