Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-match press conference on Monday may be remembered mostly for accidental Toy Story reference, but is his emphasis on teamwork which is most important.
While Tottenham and Ajax can boast talented individuals on their books, it is the importance of the collective, the teamwork and unity, which has lead both to the Champions League semi-finals.
"You know we must always dream for the moon if you want to get something in the sky," spoke Pochettino. "We have a spirit in the team that we can achieve anything and all is possible - that's our strength.”
This mantra was echoed in Ajax’s media briefing by their head coach Erik ten Hag.
"It's amazing that we're in the Champions League semi-finals,” he said. Nobody could have predicted at the beginning of the season that a Dutch team would end up in the Champions League semi-finals.
"We have achieved something - but we want to do more. We don't want to rest on our laurels."
But who will come out on top tonight in the first leg in London?
Vaishali Bhardwaj caught up with Standard Sport’s resident Tottenham expert, Dan Kilpatrick, ahead of tonight’s first leg tie.
