Emerson wants to stay at Barcelona
Tottenham have reportedly agreed a £25.7million fee with Barcelona for Brazilian full-back, Emerson Royal, but according to Spanish outlet Marca, the defender doesn’t want to leave the Catalan club and has told them as much.
However, those behind the scenes have acknowledged that it’s a good move for Emerson, and the transfer would help raise funds amid the club’s perilous financial situation.
Paratici’s deadline day priority
Fabio Paratici has reportedly made selling Serge Aurier a priority on deadline day, especially now that Tottenham intend to sign Emerson from Barcelona.
Espirito Santo has no plans for Aurier and Japhet Tanganga has started all of Spurs’ opening three Premier League games at right-back.
Now with the signing of Emerson a distinct possibility, the 28-year-old will only slip further down the pecking order should a move for the Brazilian go through, meaning a sale is urgently needed.

Jenas makes Kane claim
Jermaine Jenas has had his say on the Harry Kane situation.
The former Spurs midfielder hopes that the striker gets the 'chance to go and play for one of the world's biggest clubs'.
"Sometimes things happen for a reason but it is going to be tough to get his head around it and as a footballer I hope he still gets what he deserves, which is the chance to go and play for one of the world's biggest clubs,” said Jenas, as per BBC Sport.
