Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs' stance on Harry Winks, centre-back targeted

It's the January transfer window and moves have been relatively quiet so far in the Premier League.

Tottenham were relatively big spenders in the summer as Jose Mourinho looked to mould his squad to his liking and maintain a push for silverware this season.

It looks like it will be a quieter mid-season window for Spurs, but with just three weeks to go there is still plenty of time for clubs to finalise deals for the rest of the season.

In light of this, here are the latest Tottenham rumours doing the rounds.

Valencia eye Winks

Spanish side Valencia are keen on taking young Spurs midfielder Harry Winks on loan.

A report in MailOnline says Jose Mourinho's side have rejected an offer already but the La Liga side are preparing another one to lure him to Spain.

Valenica, who are managed by former Watford boss Javi Gracia, see Winks as their no.1 target this month and are ready to give the England international more game time over the rest of the season.

Winks has recently regained his place in the Tottenham starting 11 and Mourinho has said he is not keen on letting the 24-year-old leave north London.

Lille defender wanted

Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing Lille defender Sven Botman to the club.

The centre-back, who stands at an imposing 6ft 4in, would compete with Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon for a starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Journalist Duncan Castles says Liverpool are also keen on Botman, 20, who has been capped by the Netherlands at U15, U16, U18, U19 and U20 level.

He has played 17 times for Lille having joined the Ligue 1 side from Ajax last summer.

What next for Alli?

Midfielder Dele Alli was given a rare outing over the weekend when he played against Marine in the third round of the FA Cup, a game which Spurs won 5-0.

Speaking post match, Jose Mourinho hinted the England international would be staying at the club for the remainder of the season, despite falling out of favour in recent months.

"He was here and of course it was not the match to measure the quality, but the professionalism and attitude and I am very happy with it," the boss said about the midfielder.

"I am really happy with his attitude in the game."

Alli has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain over the past week, a switch which would see him reunited with former boss Mauricio Pochettino who has just been appointed by the French giants.
