Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs enter Ozan Kabak race, Kyle Joseph interest renewed

Tottenham Hotspur secured a much-needed victory in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as they comfortably dispatched Leeds United 3-0.

Goals from Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Toby Alderweireld ensured Spurs got three points for the first time in four league games.

Now, with the January transfer window upon us, Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy could be tempted to try and find some bargains in order to improve their squad for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

With that in mind, here are the latest Tottenham-related transfer rumours and stories from today.

Spurs join Kabak race

Tottenham are now in the race with Liverpool and Manchester United to sign Schalke defender Ozan Kabak, according to a report from Sky Germany.

Kabak has become a regular for the Bundesliga team recently and is now one of the most sought-after defenders in European football.

The 20-year-old has attracted interest from Liverpool and United, as well as Italian side AC Milan.

Spurs are reportedly the latest club to register an interest in the Turkey centre-back, with Mourinho reportedly keen on bringing in a new defender despite completing the signing of Joe Rodon in October.

Spurs renew interest in Joseph

Tottenham are set to go back in for Wigan Athletic striker Kyle Joseph after making a bid for the Scotland Under-21 international in the summer transfer window.

That's according to The Sun, who say that Spurs had a £150,000 bid rejected for him over the summer but are still looking to sign him.

Wigan need to come out of administration or they could lose a handful of players - including Joseph - this week.

The 19-year-old has scored four times in 11 League One outings for the Latics so far this season, impressing Spurs in the process.

Man Utd join Aarons race

Manchester United are eyeing a move for Norwich City defender and reported Tottenham target Max Aarons, according to the Express.

Spurs were linked with Aarons throughout the summer transfer window, but ended up signing Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers instead.

The report states that the Canaries' defensive star was a top target for Mourinho in the summer window, but the club were not willing to meet the Championship side's asking price, so he stayed put at Carrow Road.

Now, United have been established as the favourites to land the signing of Aarons, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting the 20-year-old to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
