Tottenham transfer rumours: PSG confident over Alli move, Lingard decision, Dias wanted

It has been an impressive few days for Tottenham Hotspur fans on and off the field.

First came the news of the double swoop for Real Madrid pair Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon and then came the brilliant 5-2 Premier League victory at Southampton.

Boss Jose Mourinho will still be keen to add to his squad, however, as the transfer deadline looms on the horizon.

Spurs have until 5pm on Monday, October 5 to carry out deals before a 11 day extension to the window for domestic only deals.

Here are some of the latest Spurs rumours doing the rounds.

PSG confident over Alli move

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are confident Spurs midfielder Dele Alli will join them on a year-long loan.

That's according to MailOnline, who report the Champions League finalists are in talks with Jose Mourinho's side over a move.

Alli started the opening Premier League game against Everton but was left out of the squad for the win at Southampton on Sunday.

That came on the back of his exclusion from the squad for the Europa League fixture with Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

The return of Gareth Bale has pushed Alli down the pecking order in north London and he could move elsewhere in search of regular games.

Lingard a no-goer

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard will not be joining Tottenham.

The player had been linked with a move south, but according to The Athletic, Jose Mourinho is not keen on bringing the player to the capital.

The report says there is 'no chance' the move will happen.

Lingard, 27, is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 although various reports suggest United are keen to extend that by a year to ensure his value is high for any potential suitors.

Dias wanted

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Benfica defender Ruben Dias.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports Spurs have turned their attentions to Dias having been frustrated in their attempts to sign Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar.

Dias is seen as a cheaper option and at 23, he is yet to reach the peak of his career.

Boss Jose Mourinho has already added Matt Doherty and Sergio Reguilon to his backline as he revamps his defence.

Dias is seen as a potential long-term replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
