Tottenham transfer rumours: Mourinho makes Sessegnon decision as Grealish tipped for Spurs move

There are plenty of players being linked with moves to and from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

With Jose Mourinho well known for his proactive transfer policy, perhaps it is no surprise that Spurs have been credited with an interest in numerous players as the manager looks to put his stamp on the squad.

Here are the latest Tottenham Hotspur transfer rumours.

Sessegnon stance revealed

The Daily Star report that Spurs will reject all offers for Ryan Sessegnon this summer.

Barcelona have been linked with a shock move for the wing-back, who is out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

Spurs paid £25m to sign the England under-21 international from Fulham last summer but he has endured a frustrating first season at the club, making just six league starts.

Yet Spurs are unwilling to let him leave this summer, claiming the player has a big future at the club.

Grealish to be the new Modric

Harry Redknapp says Spurs should target Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

Grealish has been heavily linked to Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window but Spurs have held an interest in him previously.

Former Spurs boss Redknapp believes Grealish could finally be the replacement to Luka Modric that they have been looking for.

He told TalkSPORT : “Grealish for sure, that is what they lack.

“We had Luka Modric in there, Pochettino had Eriksen, people like that can make them play – people that can make them tick.

"They need to recruit a couple of players in the summer."

Ajer praised

Spurs target Kristoffer Ajer has been praised by Celtic teammate Christopher Jullien.

With Jan Vertonghen out of contract at Spurs this summer, the club have been linked with a move to the in-form Celtic centre-back, and Jullien is not surprised.

Jullien told The Scottish Sun: “Kris is a great defender, and ultimately, I think he can do everything. He runs a lot, he defends, he can take the ball into the midfield and play.

“He has so many qualities, and in the time since I arrived at Celtic, I’ve seen him progress. My team-mates watched him progress before that, and he is getting better.

“But from my time here, I just saw him get more confident day by day, and that’s good for Kris and the team. If it was down to just me, I’d be keeping all of the best players beside me for as long as I can.”
