Tottenham transfer rumours: Man United competition for left-back, Serge Aurier rejects move

Tottenham Hotspur are just two weeks away from kicking off their new season.

Spurs will be hoping to get back into the top four having settled for Europa League qualification last term.

It's been pretty quiet thus far, but Matt Doherty's arrival from Wolves this weekend could put a busy couple of weeks into motion.

Below we take you through the latest rumours and gossip from across the morning.

Reguilon competition

Manchester United are chasing Sevilla left-back Sergio Reguilon.

The Spanish left-back could be available this summer after an impressive loan at Sevilla.

Tottenham have been linked with Reguilon but Manchester United are plotting a move for Real Madrid left-back, according to reports from Marca.

The 23-year-old could leave the Bernabeu on another season-long loan or a permanent transfer.

Wilson wage demand

Callum Wilson wants wages of £75,000 a week before he is prepared to leave Bournemouth this summer.

The England striker is being chased by a host of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, after the Cherries’ relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Express report that Spurs are willing to meet Wilson's wage demands but Mourinho has to sell before he can buy any more players.

Newcastle were main contenders to sign the 28-year-old, but the high wage demands, plus the price tag of £30million have put them off.

Aurier rejects Wolves

Serge Aurier has rejected a move to Wolves as part of the deal taking Matt Doherty to Tottenham.

Spurs value their Ivory Coast right-back at £20million and had hoped to see him leave for Molineux in part exchange for Doherty.

Aurier, though wants a move back to Europe, with Italian outfit AC Milan his preferred choice and German club Bayer Leverkusen another possibility, report The Daily Star.

Doherty has now completed his move to north London and signed a four-year deal.
