Tottenham will hope to secure a place into the knockout rounds of the Europa League this week when they face LASK in Austria.
Spurs returned to the top of the Premier League table last night after holding Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge, a stadium where Jose Mourinho’s side have historically struggled during the last 30 years.
It has been a good run of results in recent weeks for Spurs, who will hope to be top of their tables both domestically and in Europe by the end of the week.
Although part of their form has been down to the signings they have made, they have been linked with making more when the transfer window re-opens at the turn of the year. Here are the latest Spurs transfer rumours.
Spurs hold Sami Khedira advantage
Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has revealed that he is open to a move to the Premier League, and Spurs and Everton could both hold an advantage if they were to be interested in signing the German enforcer.
Khedira, who has won both the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Champions League, is currently out of favour with the Italian giants and is yet to play a minute of action this season, with his contract set to expire at the end of this season.
The 33-year-old has told media in Germany that he would definitely consider coming to England if the option became available.
“If the opportunity arises to move to the Premier League, that's an option,” Khedira told German outlet ZDF.
Earlier in his career, Khedira played under both Mourinho and Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti, with Khedira admitting that he has kept contact with both of his ex-bosses.
"There are talks and an exchange. We never lost touch after our time together at Real Madrid,” Khedira added.
Celtic told to go for Pochettino
Ex-Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has said that Celtic could try and recruit Mauricio Pochettino to replace Neil Lennon as manager if they really wanted to.
Bhoys boss Lennon is currently under pressure after poor results domestically and in Europe, with Celtic currently trailing rivals Rangers in the Scottish league table.
Adam believes that Dermot Desmond, who is the club’s largest stakeholder, has the financial power to bring in ex-Spurs boss Pochettino if he felt that it was the right decision.

“Dermot Desmond can pull anything out the rabbit [hat],” Adam told PLZ soccer. "He's got enough money. Could Pochettino be the one? Could he throw Pochettino in the mix?
"Because he's got no job. Come in, rebuild your career again and see what happens. What's the difference with that and Brendan Rodgers coming to Celtic?"
Grealish warning
Ex-Spurs defender Gary Mabbutt believes that Spurs no longer need to make trying to sign Jack Grealish one of their priorities.
Aston Villa’s captain, who signed a contract with the club earlier this year, had been heavily linked with a number of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, including Tottenham.
Despite impressing heavily as Villa have made a strong start to their Premier League campaign that has led to Grealish being linked with being worth £80m, Mabbutt believes that Spurs now longer require him.
“Yes, I’m not saying he’s someone we should be going after now,” the former Tottenham man told Football Fan Cast.
