Tottenham transfer rumours: Jose Mourinho plots £127m triple swoop, new deal for Son Heung-min

The summer transfer window may have now shut - but the speculation continues. And it will not be long until clubs can do business once again.

The window reopens for a month from the start of January, as Tottenham and their rivals look to see what they need - or do not need - for the second part of the season.

Here are the latest Spurs transfer rumours...

Triple swoop?

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing an ambitious triple transfer swoop as he bids to further bolster his squad next year, according to reports.

Rennes teenager Eduardo Camavinga, Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and Wolfsburg forward Wout Weghorst are said to be the targets.

The trio could apparently cost a total of 140million euros (or around £127million).

Midfielder Camavinga has also been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Though only 17, the 60million euro-rated starlet already has three senior France caps to his name.

Brozovic, meanwhile, could be available for 40million euros after slipping down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.

Weghorst was a summer target for Tottenham before they signed Carlos Vinicius.

But they could return for the striker, who scored 24 goals last season and is valued at 40million euros.

The player recently admitted he would be interested in joining Spurs in an interview with Kicker.

Son future

Tottenham ace Son Heung-min is set to land a new contract, according to the Daily Mail.

After completing their summer transfer business, the focus is apparently now turning to securing the future of the current squad.

Tying down the in-form Son to a contract extension is said to have been identified as a top priority. He still has two-and-a-half years to run on his current deal.

The futures of Serge Aurier and Erik Lamela, whose contracts expire at the end of next season, are also likely to be discussed, says the Mail.

Schneiderlin regret

Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted he should have moved to Tottenham instead of Manchester United.

The midfielder joined United from Southampton for £31.5million in 2015.

After 47 appearances for the Red Devils, he left for Everton and is now back in his native France with Nice.

In an interview with The Athletic, Schneiderlin said: “I had interest from Tottenham because Pochettino had gone there.

"A couple of other teams called my agent, but when Man United were interested, there was no other choice.

"Man United and Real Madrid are the two biggest clubs in the world.

"You can’t refuse Man United but if I was to listen to my heart, I would have signed for Spurs.

"I knew the manager and how he would be with me, his training style.

"He called me to ask me to go to Spurs. He wanted me 100 per cent.”
