Tottenham Hotspur continued their excellent start to the Premier League campaign with their north London derby victory on Sunday afternoon.
It moved Jose Mourinho’s team back to the top of the table as they continue to prove that they could yet be title contenders.
And with the January transfer window looming, there is still potential for the team to be improved.
We have updates on an AC Milan star who could come available, reported interested in a Rangers defender and an intriguing new agent signing that could one day impact Spurs.
Here is a round-up of all the Spurs transfer rumours.
Spurs interested in AC Milan star
Spurs are reportedly interested in AC Milan star Franck Kessie, who has 18 months remaining on his contract and could leave the San Siro as early as next summer.
According to Calciomercato via Caught Offside, Arsenal and Spurs are both interested in Kessie, who AC Milan are desperate to tie down to a new contract.
The report states that Kessie could be available for £45million next summer as Milan might be forced to sell as he enters the final year of his current deal.
Spurs signed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to address the defensive midfield position last summer and the 23-year-old would represent another bustling midfield presence at the heart of Mourinho’s side.
Spurs and Everton considered James Tavernier
It has been reported that Tottenham and Everton have both looked at moves for Rangers defender James Tavernier, who continues to impress north of the border.
Per the Daily Mail, both Premier League clubs have considered bids for the 29-year-old, but Rangers have little interest in selling.
Tavernier has 18 months remaining on his contract and could force through an exit in the summer. Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also believed to be keen on a potential deal.
Spurs signed Matt Doherty in the summer to rival Serge Aurier at right-back.
Longstaff hint?
Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff has signed with a new agent who has reportedly said that he can secure a move to Spurs, per the Daily Mail.
The report states that Longstaff has signed a 12-month contract with super-agent Pini Zahavi, who has a strong relationship with Spurs having brokered the appointment of Mourinho last year.
Longstaff, 23, burst onto the scene two years ago but has seen his development stall more recently thanks to a long-term knee injury.
His current contract expires in 2022 but talks have reportedly stalled. Zahavi believes that Longstaff has terrific potential and could secure an exit from St. James’ Park if a suitable new deal is not received.
